ITALIAN BAJA 24.-26.3.2000

A sensational seasonal prelude!

In 2000, this rally being considered as the toughest Baja in the FIA calendar of events took place again in the north of Venice nearby Pordenone.
Many International world top drivers, among others Kleinschmidt and Schlesser, were on the starting grid. The RR Racing Team participated in the Baja for the second time. Highly motivated, with the freshly revised Pro Raid Pick-up prototype the driver duo started the prologue. The screaming yellow lacquered pick-up was a bombshell, when the Team catapulted the vehicle on to place 9 in the overall placing among 60 started cars, which produced approving glances and comments in favour of the team.
Highly motivated, on Saturday the whole team attacked the upcoming rounds of the dreadful route. The track being peppered with big boulders and pebbles as big as a fist awaited the participants of the Baja 2000 and caused errors.
Thus, Jutta Kleinschmidt had to stop her Mitsubishi already in the first round due to a gear damage. Even Schesser had to give up with his Renault Kangoo (due to mysterious reasons) in the marathon round. The pick-up could not escape either. The cylinder of the clutch slide broke off and, from this time on, the pilot had to shift gears more roughly which, of course, caused a considerable delay. However, the damage could be repaired completely during the 45 minute service stop.
In the upcoming marathon rounds a tremendously fast hunting race started with a perfectly operating vehicle. The round performance was always among the top ten of the overall ranking until, towards the end of the second long round, the front differential gear broke and stopped the hunt suddenly.
The Italian Baja 2000 showed, however, that the ideas developed and put into practice during winter, as regards engine, breaks and clutch, were very successful. This has been proved by the excellent place in the prologue race and the speedy pace during the main race. The differential topic will be solved by the team until the next race.

BAJA ESPAÑA ARAGON TELEFONICA 2000

From July 13 to 16, 2000
Place 2 - a top result for the racing team and its products

For the third time, the Road Ranger Pick-up Racing Team participated in the Baja Espana in Zaragoza. In Spain’s sweltering heat, every year the FIA World Cup Race takes place on an approx. 800 km long off-road circuit.
Perfectly prepared - and having put the Baja Portugal experiences into practice by means of technical detail modifications – the team was able to achieve its best result. The Team achieved a very respectable 16th overall ranking already in the prologue on Friday, which was an optimal prerequisite for the long dusty tracks of the racing day.
On Saturday, the field comprising 84 starters went for 2 rounds in total (400 km long each). Like a clock work, the team performed the distance and crossed the finishing-line in the evening in position 17 of the overall list of rankings. This signifies 12 hours and 29 minutes without any stop at a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius inside the vehicle on dusty roads.
The peak output of driver and front-seat passenger has been rewarded by the excellent 2nd position in the T3 Diesel class score.
Altogether only 47 participants reached the finishing-line.
The completion of these 800 km off-road track corresponds to a normal pick-up road performance of minimum 25.000 km. This is a plus for the Road Ranger Pick-up racing team and the GFK production of Road Ranger.
Jutta Kleinschmidt supporting the team as a technical consultant is a top enrichment for the team. She had a tough fight with Baja winner J.L. Schlesser and took first place in the class score and second in the overall placings.

TELECEL BAJA 2000 PORTUGAL

The only German team to participate in this year's race of the FIA Rally Raid World Cup in Portugal was the Road Ranger Pick-up Racing team. The huge starting field of 136 cars and 141 motor-cycles belongs to the best of the whole World Cup.
The round performance of J. Louis Schlesser (Schlesser Buggy), the world champion, and Carlos Sousa (Mitsubishi Pick-up), the local hero, were yardsticks for the competitors.
The race being split up in 2 days extended over 4 x 200 km gravel, sand and off-road tracks. This fast and demanding track, at an external temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, required the pilot’s total ability and the best material.
After starting from the midfield, the Team could recover 22 places in a hunting race. Only a front axle damage forced them to half-gas in order to reach the service point after 130 km for repair. In the second round, the lost places could be recovered again and they finished with a 59th place in the overall placing in the second part of Sunday.
On Sunday, the organizer had prepared a new route tracing for the contestants. Faced with many water passages, stony steep passages and high-speed tracks, the material and 70 driver teams were highly challenged again. After 600 km of toughest stress to the Road Ranger material, the pick-up had to be removed from the race due to a new axle damage which could not be repaired.
We did not achieve our sports goal, but 600 km of constant strain of the material and particularly of our Freestyle bar are a special performance which we are proud of.
The Telecel 2000 was won by J. Louis Schlesser leading with 23 seconds in front of Carlos Sousa.

VIII RALLY TENERIFE SUR 2004

The Pro Raid first time in real action! 9.-10.7.2004

This rally is being considered as the toughest in the Canarias Rally calendar. The events took place again in the south of Tenerife.
Like every year many top drivers, among others Samuel Lemes and Gustavo Sosa, were on the starting grid. The Pro Raid Racing Team participated for the first time. Highly motivated, with the freshly revised Pro Raid prototype Elias Trujillo and Jose Ramos started the first prologue “Guargacho”. Choosing the wrong set of tyres caused first trouble during the early morning hours. The Team suffered a flat tyre!
But this only challenged the Team, and from the second prologue “El Eolico” the whole team attacked the upcoming rounds of the dreadful route. The track being peppered with big boulders and pebbles as big as a fist awaited the participants of the Rallye.
As the screaming yellow lacquered Pro Raid was the attraction, when the Team catapulted the vehicle on to place 11 in the overall placing among 45 started cars, which produced approving glances and comments in favour of the team.
Gustavo Sosa had to stop his Mitsubishi EVO already during the first kilometres due to engine failures. The Pro Raid could not escape either. The new fitted racing gearbox did not like to finish the last prologue within the “Circuito La Cemensa” from this time on, the pilot could not shift any gears, or just with other words; GAME OVER!
However it took the Team some minutes to recover from this shock after a day of joy and challenges. The round performance was always among the top ten of the overall ranking; what a SHAME!
The Rallye Tenerife showed, however, that the Team keeps his Spirit and ideas developed and put into practice. This has been proved by the excellent ranking and the speed shown during the rally.

RALLY SPRINT FUERTEVENTURA

The “Mitsu” Pro Raid excelent in La Oliva

The second trial of the Canarias Championship was held in La Oliva racing circuit, in Fuerteventura, lashed by heavy gusts of wind that raised clouds of dust when the vehicles were passing by and that they also disturb the pilots driving. The Anfi del Mar Team had a great happiness, the members of the European Raid Racing Team achieved the best result of the year with the only diesel vehicle in the race, they reached the eight position in the overall placing and the second in its class score, with only half a minute from the victory which belonged to the local pilot who knew the circuit in details.

Elías Trujillo and José Ramos arrived in Fuerteventura after their participation in Tenerife the week before. When they were catching a glimpse of the finishing line, they had to retire due to gear damage. This time, they took the gear box they used in the first races of the year with its main standard components. Trujillo and Ramos completed the first part of the race in the seventh position to conclude in the well-deserved eight position mentioned above, a meritorious result for this type of diesel vehicles.

The Mitsubishi Pro Raid, at the hands of Elías Trujillo and José Ramos, was one of the greatest sensations of the trial, an unheard of vehicle in this amazing island of the Atlantic Ocean which caused the admiration and the appraisal of the expert fans, fond and very knowledgeable about races on solid ground. The result achieved during this weekend has been successful for the whole team whose efforts have been rewarded with an excellent result. This result gives possibilities to the European Pro Racing Team which now has the regional title in its category.

The next event for the Anfi del Mar Racing Team and the members of the European Pro Raid Racing Team will be the Aldea Slalom, at the beginning of August

LA ALDREA SPRINT RALLY, AUGUST 2004

The Mitsubishi Pro Raid caused sensation in La Aldea

The European Pro Raid Racing Team this time participated in La Aldeas Sprint Rally, the last rally before the summer brake of the actual championship! With the even better prepared Mitsubishi Pro Raid, the only Diesel vehicle in the solid grounds competitions of the Canaries. After the great participation in Fuerteventura, the spirit of the team was in the best moment, something proved by Elías Trujillo and José Ramos.
The race started under a heat wave, this fact did not intimidate the expert local fans and all those thousand people arrived from several places of Gran Canaria that overcrowded the racing circuit of La Aldea. From the very beginning, the Mitsubishi Pro Raid was one of the biggest attractions in the rally, causing the appraisal of the spectators, and thanks to Elías Trujillo´s expertness they could take advantage in their category and were able to lead the car amongst the first positions of the rally.
The regularity and the know-how of Elías Trujillo and his “Mitsu” Pro Raid allowed the team to achieve an outstanding sixth position in the overall ranking of the rally and a first position in there category D8 and of course to gain the affection and appraisal of La Aldea supporters. The result puts the team in the best position to fight for the first position in there category at the end of the year, something unthinkable when this car arrived on the Canary Islands and thanks to the fast adaptation process to Trujillo´s driving manner.

XIII Rally Antigua Fuerteventura, 11 September 2004

Sensational victory in class D8 with up and downs

This time the European Pro Raid Racing Team started on Fuerteventura, at the well known „Rally Antigua“ or the little brother of the Rally Finland!!

For the Mitsubishi the ideal Terrain to proof once more his capability, as this rally is famous for it high-speed sections as well as for its jumps. Right form the beginning Elias Trujillo and Jose Ramos could fight for the I. Place in there class.
It would have been to nice, during the fifth section the electrical switchbox failed, witch cost the Team 1,5 minutes. As this should not be enough in section six a flat tire cost us another 4 minutes. A change of the howl set helped the pilot to mark from now on fantastic sector times. E.Trujillo, meanwhile in the overall ranking on the 21. Position could manage to move up the ranking to 14. Position in the final ranking. The victory in his class D8, he defended throughout the howl rally!!

Elias Trujillo, during a TV Interview:
The Team and I are very happy and satisfied with the today’s result, especially about the victory in our class! Without our technical failures I’m sure we could have finish within the first ten positions, but that’s racing. I would like to thank the Team and our international Sponsors for there great support. Once again we could proof our diesel Mitsubishi is compatible throughout a rally like the one today!!

Ranking: 1. Place in the class - D8, accumulating points within the Rally Championship of 50 Points.

Sprint Rally Santa Lucia 17.10.2004

3. Place within the class D8

One of the last Sprint Rally during this year took place in Santa Lucia on Gran Canaria. The European Pro Raid Racing Team had to challenge many jumps, chicanes and a lot of dust on the endless dirt tracks. Like every year this Sprint Rally is very well accepted by its thousand spectators.

The very short and small chicanes difficult the life of the Pilot. They nearly always had to stop the Race Truck, pass the chicanes and then accelerate again to the limit.

At the start of the second round the Turbo charger broke, witch cost the Team a lot of time but could be fixed in the following pit stop.

The Team could finish the day, but the front axles look like slightly damaged.

A damage witch the Team has to fix over the next days as the next Rally take place on the 6. November in Telde.

At the end a 3. Place in there class and the twenty-fourth of 97 car is not the worst after a crazy day like this one.

During a Interview with one of the biggest news papers Canarias 7, Elias Trujillo mentioned especially the great performance of the new tires witch we’ve been handed out from our partner and sponsor

CW – Fahrzeugtechnik, the General Tire Grabber AT2. A All Terrain tire with a lot of grip, specially designed for race like the one today!!

Canarias D8 class Championship

Elías Trujillo & José Ramos participated last Saturday on the I Gran Canaria Off Road, a cross country rally that brought to a close the Canary Island Championship. In this last trial, the members of the European Pro Raid Racing Team staked the regional championship in the category D8, where they had already the first position in the Antigua Rally (Fuerteventura).

To achieve this goal, it was only necessary to finish the trial, being this complicated enough due to the hardness of the roads in Gran Canaria. Trujillo & Ramos were fulfilling their mission together with the new tyres by General Tire which also behaved perfectly in such a bad conditions. However, once again, they were unlucky, and all of a sudden when they had completed four specials, Elias Trujillo lost more than twenty-three minutes due to an electric breakdown, but this is not all, as they reached the next control with a sixteen minutes penalty, exceeding the maximum permitted which is established in fifteen minutes. Despite this incident, the team achieved the vize-championship, a championship that could have been won if they were not abandon in Tenerife when they were the winners, the same happened to them in Gran Canaria, or, we have to mention as well the last minute absence in La Palma. The Rallies always have this dark side, but the sporting spirit of the European Pro Raid Racing Team will reappear in December with the aim of the Memorial to Jorge Santana.

Exhibition of the Mitsubishi Pro Raid in the Vecindario Shopping Centre

The Mitsubishi Pro Raid (Elias Trujillo-José Ramos) will be exhibited as of today, Tuesday in the Shopping Centre of Vecindario. All the supporters can go there to see in detail all the cars exhibited, and observe all the details of this competition vehicle.

FIA European Cross Country Cup for Baja’s and

Spanish Off Road TT Championship

The experience unifies with the European Pro Raid Racing Team

The past weekend, in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, all the members of the team met to talk with the new advisor and technical assistances provider of the team, Julio Romero. From Madrid, Romero has a great experience in the world of the championships, especially in the Raid modality, where he has competed in his sector in important championships. His experience and knowledge in the world of Rally Raid will be of a great value in the aspirations of the team.

It is to emphasize the ample knowledge of this Sportsman in this matter, as he just arrived back from one of the most demanding tests at world-wide level, the Rally Barcelona-Dakar, where he has been member of one semi-official rally team; this appointment demonstrates his professionalism and standing in the world of Rally Raid. Julio Romero starts with our project for the first time in a solitary way, trying making it a positive example in motor sport.

After inspecting the Mitsubishi Pro Raid, Romero commented at the vehicles capabilities, "it is a good car for this type of competitions and it has a great potential in its interior. Its structure is very strong with a very good base and the suspension is perfect."  Romero emphasized the importance of the union of the team, "it’s something I have seen very positive and that it helps to render to the maximum of our possibilities. I have a great illusion in this project and the members of the team helps to makes everything easier."

The Team Manager Andreas Ullstein, emphasized, "I am very contented with this new incorporation to the team. From experience and personality, Julio will be an very important piece within our project."

The infrastructure will be framed in this form, in Madrid, technical base for the team during the 2005 session.

The move to Main land Spain…

It was midday on Saturday, February 19th when the material of the European Pro Raid Racing Team left Las Palmas Harbour in its travel to the Main land Spain, destination Seville, from where it will be directly transported to Madrid.

At the beginning of the week it is expected to arrive in Madrid, concretely to the facilities of Julio Romero, JRX4 Competition, both containers of the equipment which, as it was mentioned before, will be the base for this season. The first of these containers it is practically a garage, with all the spare parts and necessary tools, whereas the second one has been thought to be used to transport the vehicle. Taking care of the image to the maximum, fundamental in a sport project, both containers are painted in the colour and with the logo of the European Pro Raid Racing Team.

Now Julio Romero will adjust the Race Truck to it final needs for the beginning of the championship season, witch will take place on the first weekend of April in Cataluña, the first raid is valid for the FIA Spanish TT Cup 2005.

Andreas Ullstein, Team Manager, interview with “La Provincia”, "each step that we are giving indicates to us that we are nearer the beginning of the championship, which is what all of us wish. All our material is already being transported to Madrid where our new mechanic will definitively leave it adjusted it for the first trial, which will take place in approximately one month, starting our individual tour in this double sport project." and at the end, "we would like to return to compete in the Canary Islands and hopefully the championship that is being prepared in the islands can reach the national level and defend our team colours here in the Canary Islands again.”

Elías Trujillo and Jose Ramos gather their trophies

On Saturday night 05th March, the pilot and co-pilot of the European Pro Raid Racing Team, Elías Trujillo and Jose Ramos, went to the Gala of Champions 2004 which was celebrated in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, this Gala is organized for the price giving of the regional prizes of motoring of the canary community, as well as those from Las Palmas province.

Trujillo and Ramos had double presence for being vice champion within their category, the D8 class, both in rallies and in rally sprint. This act closed an intense season for the European Pro Raid Racing Team in the Canary Islands, a Team that now faces greater goals beyond our borders.

The Team has already its operational base in Madrid, where the company JRX4 Competition, leaded by Julio Romero, works hard to have the Mitsubishi Pro Raid in its best conditions for the beginning of the championship. The Gala served so that many of their sport rivals during the last season were interested in the new projects of the European Pro Raid, wishing all the success to the Team facing the season that already starts.

Elías Trujillo pointed out, "it has been a special night for all of us who had some prizes to gather after the hard 2004 season. From our side, we are already preparing ourselves for our new challenge in which we hope to rise to the occasion." His co-pilot, Jose Ramos, added, "for me, this has been the first time to be in this Gala, it has been a pretty finishing touch to season 2004, and we come with the glance put in the first race of this new year, which will take place approximately in one month." Andreas Ullstein, Team Manager, emphasized, "When we began last year, the Team  priority was to experience and modify the vehicle as well as form the Team, if you see the result out of this, I believe it is fantastic to take part in two important championships as vice champion. Now it is time to think about the future and to work to be 100% in the first race to be celebrated in April."

4th Catalunya TT Rally Cup

Excellent beginning with a bitter end

The debut of the European Pro Raid in the national cup of TT rallies could not have a good end. After an intense and hard working night resolving problems first of electronic reason and afterwards of the alternator, in the beginning of the day the problems with the turbocharger were clearly accepted in the first selective sector. During the first kilometres our driver’s team could take over the Spanish Rally champion Luis Climet with his Toyota Land Cruiser T1.2.

The tuff end came however; the turbocharger damage threw the team again to the end of the field. Meanwhile became however the entire vehicle field around some front runners on their BMW X5 and its Land Rover Bowlers, as well as favourites such as Manuel Plaza, which failed because of a heavy accident, smaller. One of the most noteworthy facts was the excellent image of the team, praised by both competitors and official teams, in addition to the members of the organization, being one of the most outstanding teams in this respect.

Elías Trujillo at the Box; "it has been quite a hard moment, after the intense work that was made by the technical crew on Friday! We emphasized both for the co-pilot and for me the experience of taking part in a race of these characteristics. We hoped to be luckier in Portugal and to conclude one of the most important races." Andreas Ullstein highlighted, "it is a pity but not everything is negative. Elías and Jose know already how this race works and will be much better in Portugal. I am very proud of the team performance, from the technical part to the pilot and the co-pilot. We are all wishing for the race in Portugal, valid for the world cup and with the presence of the best teams. With Julio Romero (JRX4 Competition) we are going to adjust the race truck during this month, with improvements in the vehicle for the hard race in Portugal."

Finishing of the hardest Objective! Baja Vodafone

This could be the expression that defined the race weekend of Elías Trujillo and Jose Ramos at the Baja Vodafone Portugal. The European Pro Raid Racing Team could conclude the international race after surpassing the rigors of the hardest test, that it made leave half hundred of vehicles.

The Spanish Team had the luck after all to surpass the hardness of this race, and to be able the objective to arrive at goal. The last stage concluded on Spanish territory, concretely in Cáceres, with something more than three hundred kilometers, beginning the day in the Portuguese locality of Evora. At the end of the selective sector of this Portuguese enclave, the Mitsubishi Pro Raid accused slight problems of the clutch. A problem that was going to once again demonstrate the capacity of overcoming of all the Team, and that was not going to prevent to continue in route to the Mitsubishi Pro Raid. The hardness of the race was left patent constantly; the absolute leader Marc Blazques even passed the final kilometres with problems in its Nissan. Cáceres was more and more next, and each one of the components of the Team waited for anxious the passage by the pitch controls.

In the end Elías Trujillo and Jose Ramos finished in position thirty eighth, after beginning in fifty five. In spite of the disadvantages of this type of races, the accumulated experience has been most important and will be helpful facing the following commitments. Trujillo commented in the end exhausted, "we have undergone much but we obtained the objective who we had in the beginning. To be here has been a great satisfaction, and exceeds to say that it is the test harder than I have disputed in my life. Our step we saw vehicles of very many level in the roadside ditch, which demonstrates this that I affirm. We now have much moral facing the future." His copilot Jose Ramos indicated, "he has been exciting to arrive at the final goal and to see the joy of the equipment after as much effort. It has been an important experience for us that we will put into play for next tests. In spite of the hardness and problems that we have had the equipment has rendered at a very high level, and that is very positive for our surroundings."

The EPR was not lucky during the “Baja”

After finishing the hard Baja Portugal, the European Pro Raid went to the Baja España, following its international and national program. The illusion was maximum, since they occupy an excellent position in the national championship, and the spirits were very high after Portugal.

After disputing a good Prologue, despite a slight problem with the fifth gear, Elías Trujillo and José Ramos were prepared for the hard first trial which was going to take place on Saturday. A day with around 500 km2 timed, which together with the heat would make of this day, an authentic odyssey.

The day was not starting bad for Elías Trujillo and José Ramos with the Mitsubishi Pro Raid, who were in perfect understanding between the vehicle and the route. But in the middle of the first selective sector the first mechanical inconvenient were appearing, mainly with the suspension, and that were going worse as they were reaching the finishing line in this first timed trial. When they reach the technical attendance, it was decided not to go on with the race due to the problems, a pity after the intense effort carried out by the team.

Elías Trujillo, once it was confirmed that they dropped out of the race, remarked, “the truth is that we are demoralized with this result. After Portugal we had a great illusion to take part in the most important trial in Spain, but the mechanical problems have stopped us continuing with our participation. We were doing a good performance and once adapted to the hard race, we could have played an important role here, but now the only thing we can do is working for the future.”

The European pro Raid Racing team has a new partner which will propel the team to the success in the international Rally Raid circus. Together with the team of Schreck Sport, known for their numerous achievements, and for their particularly designed Buggy of the 2drive Adventure Team with Dakar and Rally Raid World Cup experience; we will now plan and build our new PRO RAID EVO T27. The company Mayr Tuning under the direction of Gotthard Mayr takes over the construction of the engine, as it has been already usual in earlier projects.

With the foundation of the Autohaus Schreck GmbH in the year 1998 the team of Schreck Sport was brought into life. Schreck Sport engages themselves in the structure, maintenance, development of vehicles in the Rally and Rally Raid range. This fact, together with the many years experience of the two managing directors Katharina and Wolfgang Müller makes Schreck Sport a very valuable benefit.

Both were over several years in the Rally sport as a team throughout Europe. For them Rally sport means more than only the fast way to sweep over the asphalt and carvel runways! Rally sport is for both a life philosophy, consisting of the elements sportsmanship, dynamism, precision, perfection and the experience of people and nature under extreme conditions. Exactly under these yardsticks works Schreck Sport. Besides, in the foreground stands a team from experienced bodywork, chassis and engine specialists, which invests its know-how in the best possible way to meet the customer's requirements in the Rally Raid world.

The project leadership, led by the trio Wolfgang Müller (Schreck Sport), Gotthard Mayr (Mayr Tuning) and Andreas Ullstein (European Pro Raid Racing Team), as well as the entire team is looking forward to seeing the results of the exciting development and  construction of the new Toyota PRO RAID EVO T27.

Dear Reader

When we began the project, nobody was imagining how much work along the planning entails. Many people, specialists as well as friends, invested a quantity of time, money and effort into this project. Without this support, like so many examples in our sport, only an idea would have remained.

Moreover, particularly I would like to take this opportunity to thank in the name of the team Alexandra and Gotthard Mayr. Both support the team from the first day on and this far beyond normal sponsor activities. They have always propelled us with their expert technical and personal knowledge.

This way we would like to thank you for the professional and friendly support, as well as for the confidence into our team, in all sincerity.

Many Thanks!!!

Yours truly,

European Pro Raid Racing Team

Team Statement

Dear Sponsor, Friends and Fans,

As you by no doubt know, we had to make major changes in our race car lineup for 2006, bringing in the new PRO RAID EVO T27. In conjunction with the new race car, we have also rededicated ourselves as a team to take on the challenge that is the European Rally Raid series with its FIA International Cup for Cross Country Bajas and the Spanish TT Cup. European Pro Raid profiles its 2006 team together with PRO RAID EVO T27

The European Pro Raid Team presented its team for the upcoming FIA International CUP for Cross Country Baja and the Spanish Off Road Rally Championships. The national (Spanish) and international championship will be the main focus this season with the pressure likely to rest on the experienced shoulders of German pilot Andrea Mayer, who joined the team on December 17th 2005. Mayer is famous for her results as a Mitsubishi pilot and high rankings in the Dakar. The Canarian pilot Elías Trujillo will once again compete in the national championship where both himself and Andrea Mayer look forward to the new season and the challenge of driving the new Toyota.

Andrea Mayer can look back on 4 seasons experience in cars, after beginning her career as motorcycle pilot where one of her best results was a brilliant 5th place in the Dakar. The inclusion of Andrea Mayer and the entry to the Microsoft team have given the team a strong lift. After signing the contract Mayer and the EPR management are looking forward to the next season, with both parties very positive for the upcoming events.

Andreas Ullstein, Team Manager for European Pro Raid: “We are very happy that Andrea Mayer has joined our team. Her experience is fundamental for us and we hope to continue growing as a team with her. The inclusion of Mayer and the partnership with Microsoft make us optimistic and I believe that together with Elias Trujillo we will form a perfect team. The next few months will be very important; with the need to adapt to the new structure and to focus on the new team we are building preparing ourselves for the debut race with a realistic chance.”

MarbellaSportsMedicine new medical assistance for the team

Marbella Sports Medicine formed by Dr. André Bauer and Peters Lubbers will join the European Pro Raid Racing Team as medical assistance throughout there season 2006.

Dr. André Bauer, a German board-certified trauma surgeon with the special interest in sports medicine Dr. Bauer was trained in Germany, but acquired special techniques during visits to colleagues in the United States and Spain. In Frankfurt he supervised for many years a major sports medicine unit and performed hundreds of arthroscopies and ligament reconstructions. Since 1989 he was involved as team physician in American Football, first on major league level in Germany, then as physician of the German national team and finally, for 7 years, as physician of the Frankfurt Galaxy in the NFL Europe. He not only gained ample experience from the daily treatment of the players but also from the contact with the physicians of the other teams in the US, Canada and Europe. In the nineties Dr. Bauer organized and chaired a series of very successful sports medicine meetings in Frankfurt. Since 1998 Dr. Bauer is working at the Costa de Sol, specializing in hip and knee surgery and continuing practising sports medicine.

Peter Lubbers, a Dutch physiotherapist, who received his training in Holland. He then worked in Kenia and since 1975 he is based in Marbella. Back then in Holland he was an active and very successful rugby player. He is still crazy about sports (and not only watching football on TV, but actively running, swimming and cycling, and despite his aging body still participating in Triathlon competitions), and he laid hand on many sports celebrities. Among those successfully treated by him are Damon Hill, Ulrike Mayfarth, Steffi Graf, Daley Thomson, Nick Faldo, Franz Beckenbauer, Gabriela Sabatini and many other sports celebrities. Peter Lubbers in an absolute expert in the treatment of sports injuries. He has a vast professional experience and commands high diagnostic and therapeutic skills. Although he worked with many professional sports people he refrains from overly aggressive treatment and rather applies gentle step-by-step therapy. He is not one of those guys who yell some instructions and let you work out yourself whilst treating the next patient: no, he will stick with you and watch every single movement of yours. He will not be satisfied until you perform your exercises perfectly. In these regards he combines the skills of a personal trainer with those of the top physiotherapist.

Those two as Marbella Sports Medicine will make sure that before and during the season, Andrea Mayer and Elias Trujillo as well as there Co-Driver will be in good physical fitness for there challenges during the year 2006.

Forget whatever you heard before... when it comes to our new Race Car, the first photos of the PRO RAID EVO T27 have been taken during the first rollout last week.

The past months, have been very hard for the Team and its drivers, as the planning and construction of the new race prototype took longer than scheduled. To say the race car has a lot to live up. With dramatic styling derived from the newly launched Toyota Hilux, our PRO RAID EVO T27 certainly raises eyebrows. But the exterior is only one part of a comprehensive construction. The PRO RAID EVO T27 comes with a new 3-litre variable turbo diesel engine, which lifts power of around 245 bhp and torque more than 500Nm. Under the fibre carbon skin, the race truck continues with a complete newly designed space frame and independent Suspension for the front and rear wheels, FOX Racing dampers with reservoir with 250 mm travelling. The PRO RAID EVO T27 has been developed by Schreck Sport, Wolfgang Müller to the latest standards of rally raid racing. Due to the constantly new Ideas, technical advances and the consequently conversion of those, the construction of the race truck took longer than the team primarily estimated.

Now the Team will finish the last details on the PRO RAID EVO T27 to start with the test phase and the last set ups of the car. The testing will take place in the south of France and Germany. Besides, the Team’s Manager, Andreas Ullstein stated that the team already plans their assignments for the coming year 2007. Due to the fact that the current year already progress, the 2007 planning and the coming tests have absolute priority before all other possible activities.

Click here for the new photos.
